Adult Educator – Community Programs

Reporting to the Manager, Community Programs, the Adult Educator is responsible for planning, organizing, delivering, and evaluating educational programming for adults in the community through Nunavut Arctic College. The successful candidate will provide instruction and instructional support, identify and document adult learning needs in the community and manage and maintain the learning environment at the Community Learning Centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of the janitor, support casual staff, manage program delivery, and provide educational and career counselling services.
• Oversee building maintenance and operations.
• Conduct annual training needs assessments.
• Teach a range of adult basic programming, which may include literacy, essential skills, basic education, and academic readiness.
