Lavender Lodge School, a historic 18th‑century building in Mitcham, provides a life‑changing learning environment for pupils with SEND, including many autistic and non‑verbal children.

Responsibilities

• Support the senior administrator and ensure smooth reception day‑to‑day running.
• Maintain accurate files and produce daily reports.
• Assist pupils aged 4 to 11 with bespoke and accessible curriculum, using autism strategies such as TEACCH, Makaton, PODD and PECs.
• Manage challenging behaviour, exploring behaviour function and encouraging positive behaviour change.
• Engage with pupils, families and the wider team, promoting high expectations and celebrating “huge small victories.”
