Job Description

Accounts Receivable (AR) – Basic Functions

• Prepare and issue freight invoices for ocean freight, surcharges, demurrage, detention, and other shipping‑related charges.
• Ensure billing accuracy in line with contracts, tariffs, and customer agreements.
• Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate AR records.
• Process and apply customer payments; resolve short payments and discrepancies.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections.
• Prepare and review AR aging reports and monitor overdue balances.
• Handle billing disputes and coordinate with sales, customer service, and operations for resolution.
• Manage customer credit limits and payment terms.
• Support month‑end closing, audits, and compliance requirements.
