Accounts Assistant Maternity Cover (12 months)

We are now looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant reporting to the Management Accountant for the Insulation Ireland business on a fixed 12-month contract for maternity cover. This role is based at our Castleblayney site working 39 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm).


The postholder will be responsible for supporting the management accountant in all aspects of finance and sales reporting

Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:

  • Preparing journals, identifying prepayments, reversing journals, GRNI housekeeping & accruals
  • Weekly Sales reporting 
  • Month end reporting and preparation of monthly management packs. 
  • Maintaining sales rebate accruals and payments to customers 
  • Updating of Standard Costs and Cost Roll ups in SAP 
  • Preparing month end Balance Sheet reconciliations 
  • Preparing monthly Intrastat, VIES and CSO returns 
  • Ad Hoc Sales analysis reporting for area managers
