An exciting opportunity has arisen to become an integral part of the NMIT Aviation School at our Nelson Campus. We are looking for a permanent full-time 1.0 FTE (5 days a week @ 36 hours) Aviation and / or Avionics tutor with a broad range skills and knowledge in maintenance and engineering to teach on our Aviation engineering L3 and L4 Aeronautical Engineering programmes.

The ideal applicant would have at least 5 years practical experience as an Aeronautical Maintenance Engineer, with very good knowledge in systems that could include aviation procedures and legislation, weight and balance, aerodynamics, structures, fluid and mechanical systems, electrical fundamentals, flight controls, propulsion, avionics, fitting and turning. Previous experience as an instructor or tutor would be advantageous.
