Position Summary

NHS Dumfries & Galloway, Community Directorate, is seeking applications from two highly motivated and enthusiastic nursing professionals to be considered for the Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) posts.

Key Responsibilities

You will join a dynamic, supportive and welcoming ANP team and play a vital role in supporting the continued development of the ANP Model in the Community Directorate.

Training is both academic and supervised in practice. Successful applicants will be expected to work across various sites in the community, including Home Teams/Urgent Care, Community Hospital settings, and will have a rotation into the Out of Hours Service.

Qualifications and Commitments

The role is offered at Band 6 on a 23‑month fixed‑term basis, progressing to Band 7 upon successful completion of the required qualifications – a minimum postgraduate diploma in Advanced Practice with independent prescribing.
