Healthcare Scientist Associate Practitioner

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent post as a Healthcare Scientist Associate Practitioner within the South East of Scotland Genetic Service, based at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. The fully UKAS accredited laboratory provides both regional and national Genetics Services. The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team and undertake a range of both technical and administrative duties under the supervision of senior scientific and technical staff.

Duties will include processing samples by routine molecular and cell culture techniques. This will be fulfilled by working to standard operating procedures, utilising a range of laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems whilst adhering to strict timescales.
