Position Summary
Reporting directly to the General Manager Italy, the Senior Manager/Associate Director, Market Access – Italy is able to develop and execute the Italian market access strategy, to advise and make recommendations to the Italian Leadership Team, and to input and influence the EUCA access strategy.
The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Market Access – Italy will be responsible to lead company portfolio development and execution of the Pricing and Reimbursement strategy at National level, in order to secure timely and valuable access across Italian Regions.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues from global and regional Market Access, Global Health Outcomes, commercial, clinical, medical affairs and regulatory, government and community affairs. Indeed, he / she will be expected to advise and influence the definition the Global market access strategy.
This role will demand an ability to work strategically and operationally in equal measures and with a passion for team supervision as the role will have responsibility to provide oversight and support of our experienced Field Regional Access Team
The successful candidate must be able to perform each of the following satisfactorily:
Develop and execute pricing and market access strategies and tactics that maximize access of the current and future portfolio
Provide expert input to Global Market Access Team into the preparation of health technology assessment/value dossiers/ CEA / BIM required by local authorities for inclusion of companys compounds into local reimbursement as well as adapt dossiers and global market access tools / solutions to countryspecific needs in Italy
Oversee the development of patient access programs pre and post marketing authorization with medical affairs to ensure access to patients in urgent need.
Work closely with XFunctional leaders, develop country specific value story and publication plan to support the implementation of the strategy
Collect local insights to inform decision making.
Ensure Leadership Team is fully informed on major policies affecting access.
Ensure that P&R and market access priorities are incorporated in the disease and brand strategy and strongly supported by medical rationale and value demonstration
Staying externally focused, build credible and science led relationships with key stakeholders who share the objective of accelerating access to patients.
Ensure that all Market Access activities comply with regulatory agencies, public policies/guidelines, and with corporate policies and procedures.
Drive the spirit of “ONE Team” across all functions by supporting a team approach to focus on our patients and customers as our top priorities
Preferably Scientific/Economical profile who is able to think and act on a Master/Bachelor level
Minimum 7 years of Market Access experience within biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry
Highenergy, resultsoriented and intrinsically motivated professional who is able to drive an agenda at the national and regional levels in Italy at the same time for a growing portfolio of products
Strong recent trackrecord in Market Access, HEOR and P&R experience in Italy.
Significant personal experience in preparation and execution of the negotiation with Italian P&R agency (AIFA)
Demonstrated successful experience in developing holistic, proactive and innovative market access strategies and crossfunctional leadership of execution
Demonstrated negotiation skills, ability to influence and achieving own goals; ability to communicate complex or technical content in a convincing way to nontechnical audiences
Demonstrated successful experience in challenging status quo, driving towards next level practice through winwin collaboration and entrepreneurial / solution orientated attitude.
Ability to combine strategic vision with tactical handon execution and a high work capacity; able to prioritize, keeping focus and developing action plans to deliver results
