Home from Home Care in Lincoln provides specialist residential care for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs. Created by parents, we combine the family perspective with experienced social care professionals to deliver excellence. Our person centred approach means that our bespoke needs-led support packages are created and delivered from the viewpoint of what is best for the individual.
This role are to be focused around working with individuals when they have initially moved into one of our Micro Communities. This may be working in the one home anywhere from 6 months up to 18 months / two years and then move to other sites. You will work around helping and supporting individuals who have a learning disability, a mental health diagnosis or more complex psychological issues. Of necessity, the delivery of care and support must be very professionally delivered: what is expected must happen when it is expected to happen; delivery must be in the predetermined manner that is expected and by the person/persons expected to deliver it.
Duties will be worked initially at one of their micro communities in Dorrington, Lincoln. They may then later be involved working in some of their other specialist residential homes, to promote best practice and upgrade staff team capabilities. The role will require the use of own vehicle and the holding of a current driving licence due to locations. Duties will be worked between Monday and Sunday and normally within the hours of 7.00 am and 10.00 pm. There may also be involvement in transitions, which would include travel and perhaps staying overnight somewhere.
Health and Social Care Level 3 is preferred but not essential. However relevant and recent experience in a similar role is needed. Qualifications within Mental Health will also be of benefit. All posts will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure. Costs for this will be met by the employer
