Our client is seeking an Interim Service manager to join a residential scheme working with clients age 16-25 at risk of homelessness.
To provide an effective provision and delivery of services, facilities and housing management to the scheme.
To provide general counselling, advice and support to residents by promoting individual independence.
To liaise with voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure that there is a provision of services that enhances quality of life and supports independence.
To assess tenants, and potential tenants care and support needs and in consultation with relevant agencies, and tenant, create, monitor and review a sustainable support plan.
Signpost tenants to other providers of support, advice and advocacy.
Keep regular contact with all tenants and respond to emergency situations as required. Monitor and evaluate tenant’s welfare and needs. Work in conjunction with 24hr community alarm provider.
Liaise with care professionals and hospital services to develop links and facilitate successful hospital admission and discharges.
Provide information to assist new tenants on services within scheme and local community.
Promote tenant involvement at scheme. Encourage tenants to participate in events, activities and running of the scheme. Integrate the scheme into the local community.
Deal with low level anti-social behaviour, referring to Housing Management staff as required.
To provide basic housing management provision as first point of contact at the scheme.
To participate in the lettings process to minimise void levels, including application of the voids procedure, implementing the organisations allocations policy, maintaining the schemes waiting list and to lead and promote the marketing of the scheme.
To give basic information and support on rent payments, statements and arrears issues and to assist with basic welfare queries.
To identify and co-ordinate general maintenance issues and order reactive repairs as required also to monitor and co-ordinate the access of contractors whilst on site.
To monitor and liaise the delivery of service contracts at the scheme including community alarm services lifts, heating fire equipment, gardening etc.
To ensure that the company’s Health and Safety policy is fully implemented at the scheme and to make tenants aware of the provision of security at the scheme at all times.
To be first line contact for tenant complaints.
