Strong across all areas of Building Surveying and multiple sectors my client can offer a range of services that are second to none. Due to their top of the line multi-disciplinary service they continue to grow year on year winning frameworks and projects across the UK, ranging from smaller scale refurbishments to large new build schemes.

We require a Senior Employers Agent that is looking to gain a wide range of skills in this diverse role. The EA will be required on a day to day basis to:

Consultant Appointment
•Advise client and make recommendations for future appointment of other Consultants and monitor the performance of their duties and discharge of responsibilities
•Provide advice on Consultants Professional Indemnity Insurance

Design & Brief
•Co-ordinate with the other Consultants and prepare the Employer’s Requirements
•Advise client on produce guarantees and defects insurance

Programming
•Prepare and maintain a master programme from concept to completion to record principle activities and identify critical dates
•Monitor/Comment on Contractors Construction Programme

Contract Procedures
•In conjunction with client’s legal advisors advise on the type and form of contract
•Prepare the Contract Documents and arrange execution of Contract Documents, Performance Bonds and Warranties

Financial Management/Audit
•Advise on cost studies of alternative designs and materials and ensure Contractor’s proposals meet client’s requirements
•Prepare tendering documents and negotiate price with selected contractor
•Check and authorise interim payments, final account and Consultants fees
•Assist client with audit information including schedules of accommodation /gross internal floor areas and other information such as life cycle cost calculation as and insurance re-build costings

Planning
•Check Contractors Proposals meet requirements of the Fire Officer and of Local Authority planning and other Statutory Approvals.

Building Management
•Arrange hand-over, check and organise for all maintenance/ cleaning information, manuals, test certificates, guarantees and ‘as-built’ drawings and as installed diagrams

Building Surveying
•Advise on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of all types of residential and commercial property
•Carry out building, condition and measured surveys
•Taking particulars on site, writing up specifications, obtaining estimates, planning maintenance programmes and administering contracts for maintenance work
•Analyse and report on building defects
•Prepare schedules of condition

The ideal candidate will have the following:

* BSc/MSc in Building Surveying (2:1 or higher)

* At last 3+ years’ experience with a Consultancy

* Be MRICS qualified.

* Be client facing showing good communication and organisational skills
