**Job Description Summary**
The Sales Manager (m/f) is well educated with outstanding interpersonal skills and will have a highly successful track record as well as demonstrated considerable success as a sales professional. The Sales Manager (m/f) is expected to be a resourceful strategic thinker, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Above all, the Sales Manager will be a people-oriented, team focused leader, with the presence, charisma and credibility to positively engage with people of all levels to optimize the results of the organization.
You will be responsible for all sales activities of Critical Care / Urology / BBS in Austria and Switzerland and furthermore lead the sales team of up to five sales representatives in the region.
You will adapt sales strategies for the relevant business unit to market trends and opportunities in order to optimize results and will drive sales force effectiveness, ensuring the adoption of available business technologies, tools and initiatives.
In addition, you will represent the business unit in the management board, contributing with strategic & operational input to the running of the business and will forecast and report results, trends and key activities.
Further areas of responsibilities are:
+ Manage key wholesaler, distributor and supplier relations
+ Ensure appropriate training and development for the sales team
+ Build close working relationships with a range of contacts, including key opinion leaders, key customers, associates within the industry, EMEA Marketing team, and European work colleagues
+ Oversee government affairs and technology lobbying campaigns within the scope of the relevant portfolio
+ Optimize Bard’s interests with partner organizations, such as national and international trade associations, clinician and patient groups
+ Operate within the industry’s ethical standards and the stringent compliance regulations of the corporation
You have a university degree in Business or a post graduate business education as well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales of high tech medical devices, preferably including continence products and/or those within hospitals and community setting, furthermore you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leadership.
You demonstrate a strategic mind-set, a strong business acumen together with commercial capability as well as strong analytical skills. In addition, you have highly developed interpersonal skills, are a great relationship builder and furthermore a ‘people person’ who seeks win-win outcomes.
Further requirements are:
+ Experience in managing legal agreements with 3rd party business partners
+ Fluency in German and English as well as good knowledge of the French language
+ Ability and willingness to travel regularly across Austria and Switzerland
+ Goal oriented working style with an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
+ Very strong MS Office skills, first experience with Salesforce.com is beneficial
+ User and advocate of new technology and modern business tools
