Country Sales Director mission is primarily to design and execute on our profitable growth strategies for all Protective Packaging profit centers and equipment installations. Act and interact with him team, coaching, supporting, training and control performance towards both our direct sales growth and our growth though our valuable Channel Partners. Highlighting tasks such as sales and margin control, effective management of the sales team; key customer relationships, contract negotiations; price control; credit control, local inventory control, rental fees coverage and other revenues related to sales control.
Optimize and grow sales and margin $ on Protective Packaging utilities, consumables and equipment in line with company objectives and within selected markets.
Manage sales team towards achieving high levels of customers & Channel Partners satisfaction and operating efficiency.
Inspect and intensify sales team productivity by full implementation of available tools and fully supervise daily performance and funnel execution.
Train, coach and field support to the team members by creating knowledge diagnostics. Conduct learning & development plans for every individual.
Design market strategy and intelligence through an excellent understanding of our markets with a key target to maintain or obtain leading position in all profit centers of Protective Packaging.
Manage and optimize company working capital through collaboration excellence with credit control and Supply Chain/inventory management.
Control all related costs having the full ownership of local P&L.
KEY DAILY TASKS:
Negotiate and optimize long term key accounts & Channel Partners supply in line with agreed pricing structure spending at least 60% of his time in the field.
Provide high level system approach to maximize & ensure long terms Protective Packaging sales, margin and bottom line.
Negotiate equipment contracts to enhance our longterm systems & automations strategy.
Introduce, promote and sell new Protective Packaging innovations including those out of the traditional packaging world such as construction, retailing, acoustics, sports & leisure and others.
Set and communicate clear budgets, objectives and priorities for the sales team. Regularly review individual performance, achievements and recognize success or correct poor performances.
Motivate the sales team to provide high levels of customer service satisfaction.
Ensure good communication and teamwork between all parts of the sales team and other functions including Supply Chain, internal sales, account reps/service engineering, and internal support functions such as finance & marketing.
Build relationships with key customers and Channel Partners.
Provide data for sales and marketing management, monitor competitive activity.
Submit monthly sales reports.
Control all department expenses in line with budget and our code of conduct.
Conduct reviews of monthly overdue list and contribute with debts collection.
Monitor, assess and minimize the credit risk associated with our customers while optimizing our overall profitability.
Check on ageing inventory and taking bold actions towards inventory reduction.
Initiate and participate in seminars and fairs, initiate and advise on cost effective customer promotions through mail outs, local advertising or others.
Strong sales management and negotiation skills.
Leader with strong people management and coaching skills.
Local market knowledge necessary to identify key customer needs and market trends, in order to optimally position Food Care Packaging versus our competition.
Well organized and hands on manager who is capable to efficiently implement regional strategies.
A University degree on economics, management or engineering will be considered as a plus.
Fluent in English and Italian.
