The successful Solution Specialist Director helps Oracle customers across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region to transform and build the next generation of their business, with technology built in the cloud. As part of a dedicated regional team in this fast growing business, you will play a key role in understanding the needs of our customers and help create the future of businesses connecting technology with customers, employees and partners. In this role you will be responsible for providing deep expertise and competitive insight across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to customers and the local sales organisations across EMEA, supporting Cloud opportunities and contributing directly to consumption growth.
As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will work with and support the country Sales and Technical Cloud Engineering teams (TCE) across EMEA to challenge and inspire customers, crafting the strategy to transform their business. You will also engage directly with customers across the region to assist country teams in correctly positioning emerging and specialist cloud services, as well as providing deep expertise to support the transformation of the customer business using Oracle Cloud Services.
Providing a key point of contact for leaders from other organisations including engineering, you will be responsible for gathering, collating and prioritising key regional trends and enhancements from customers and partners alike, working with engineering to influence the roadmap priorities for Oracle Cloud Services based on this business-prioritised feedback and facilitating connections between engineering and the customer.
Responsible for the programmatic incubation of new services in the region, you will also lead a virtual community of regional experts to share knowledge and best practices around OCI core technologies including Network Edge Services driving a scale-out of knowledge and the impact of OCI and new services in the EMEA region.
As a source of deep expertise and credibility, you will also represent Oracle Cloud by your presence as a notable spokesperson for OCI from technical and customer use-case sessions through to keynotes at industry, as well as Oracle, events.
Strong leadership and proven Cloud Infrastructure knowledge and excellent communication skills at executive level comes naturally to you.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a technical role or business development role in Cloud in the enterprise space;
Fulfilling the role will require 5 years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or other hyper-scaler, with proven experience of product strategy, business development or product management role;
Passion for technology, together with a consummate ability to communicate effectively at all levels from C-level to experienced architects or developers where the candidate will demonstrate the value of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure;
Combination of deep technical expertise and business strategy experience;
Strong knowledge and credibility at technical level across the full platform to address any type of audience;
Ability to listen and understand customer rsquo;s business challenges and map credibly to Oracle solutions across the entire portfolio of technology;
successful experience as a public speaker at industry events, as well as large scale internal events;
Strong desire and ability to connect with customers, understand their challenges, and communicate a vision for how Oracle Cloud can address those challenges;
Experience working with and influencing executive leadership;
Continuous improvement in self-research, learning and readiness on the new product offerings;
Team player with excellent communication skills across verbal, written, and presented content;
Proven ability to work well as part of an international team
and ability to travel is essential;
Strong English and Italian language skills is mandatory for this position.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions.
Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory.
Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market.
Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities.
Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility.
Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees.
May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions.
Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation.
Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.
12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
