Contract Type: Permanent, full time, all year round

Hours: 35 per week (some flexibility available regarding working hours)

Applications are invited for the post of Trust Director of Finance to join our central team.

The Director of Finance for the Prospere Learning Trust will be a member of the Trust’s Strategic Leadership Team and will provide oversight and day to day support on all finance and resource matters relating to the Trust. They will work closely with the COO to ensure the smooth running of the Trust.

The DF will lead on matters relating to finance for the Trust and provide oversight, advice and guidance to individual academies in the Trust; ensuring there is effective and efficient financial management across the Trust and that Trust mission and values are reflected well.

The DF will play a lead role in the financial development of the Trust Strategic Plan and plan and lead in the design, development and implementation of systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all relevant legislation relating to the Trust.

About you

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and skilled, ambitious, with proven technical ability and relevant experience. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) and have a strong track record of effective financial management. You will have significant experience working at a senior level in the education sector and detailed knowledge of academy finances.

About Us

Prospere Learning Trust was formed in September 2017 through the merger of two multi academy trusts. We currently employ over 850 staff and are passionate about securing the best possible education for our young people, and believe that our staff play a vital role in achieving our vision.

Prospere Learning Trust currently comprises of 9 schools, including 5 mainstream high schools and 4 special needs schools (both primary and secondary). We are a growing Trust, currently working in the South Manchester area but with further schools anticipated across Greater Manchester.

The role will be based in one of our South Manchester schools. Candidates should note that the role will require regular travel between the Trust schools, which are currently based in Chorlton, Newall Green, Wythenshawe, Levenshulme and Northern Moor.
