**PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES**
This position is for the Cloud Customer Success Group and in more specific the Cloud Innovation Practices Group. The team’s mission is to develop new methodologies and services that demonstrate the power and speed of innovation in the cloud.
+ We help customers to identify and translate disruptive ideas into clickable prototypes of highly innovative scenarios (apps) in just a few days.
+ The tool set we use comprises SAP Build as well as leverage the capabilities of the SAP Cloud Platform
+ We use a user centric approach and produce tangible business outcome together with customers IT and Business department.

The CEDL will be essential to support SAP customers to turn their companies into an Intelligent Enterprise.
In the role of a Customer Design Engagement Lead you will:
+ engage with customers to advise them on the Intelligent Enterprise strategically but also identify innovative use cases to enable a hands-on experience
+ drive software projects in a user centric way – use prototyping to get the customer validating the solution
+ and support software development processes end-to-end
In these capacities, you will interact with diverse stakeholders within SAP and at the customer, from developers to managers, from end users to C-level executives, across a wide range of industries, around the globe.
The environment of the engagements is highly ambiguous and requires a high level of flexibility.
**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**
The Customer Design Engagement Lead has to exhibit great depth in design expertise and a broad reach of other skills and experiences to draw on (T-shaped profile), as well as the flexibility to leverage them seamlessly within a larger, diverse team.
The Customer Design Engagement Lead will closely work with our customers to identify and create new strategies and solutions to address the opportunities of the future. Therefore, the main focus of the CDEL’s work is the facilitation not only of the customer’s dialog with SAP, but also with their end users and within their organization AND with the organizations and individuals inside SAP that will participate in the development and delivery of the software project.
The ideal candidate is able to communicate the strategic value of design for business to stakeholders on all levels of the organization.
**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS and COMPETENCIES**
+ Bachelor or Master degree in: Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
+ Solid understanding of the SAP Intelligent Enterprise with strong background in the SAP Product portfolio (focus S4H, SAP Cloud Platform)
+ Certification as Design Thinking coach, project manager, or agile coach a plus
+ Ability to understand the customers pain point’s & needs; show strong empathy and be a mentor to the customers project lead/sponsor
+ Experience or or willing to learn how to use SAP Build for prototyping
+ Strong sense of teamwork, working in international team, excellent communication skills
+ 3-5 years of experience in design, project/product management, or consulting positions
+ English and German: business fluent; at least one other language a plus
