Commercial Gas Engineer
A new Commercial Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer is needed for our client to cover a mixture of properties (commercial & domestic) in & around the London area.
Main duties –
1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, service, fault finding & repairs to a range of gas appliances (boilers, burners, heaters, pipework, etc) across a varied client portfolio.
2. Respond to reactive call outs within a 4 hour window
3. Complete all electronic paperwork to a good standard and return on time 4. Be customer focused
5. Ensure compliance with all technical and quality standards
6. To ensure that company operational activities are in compliance with company policy and Health and Safety requirements
7. To be aware of any potential work opportunities and assist the local sales team with possible leads
Experience –
Commercial boilers, commercial burners, warm air heaters, water heaters, ambi-rads and associated heating plant (pumps, pressurisation vessels, etc)
The Commercial Gas Engineer need to have at least 5 years experience and should have as many (if not all) of the following gas certificates/competencies –
CCN1 Core domestic gas safety
CENWAT Domestic central heating & water heating appliances
CKR1 Domestic cooking appliances
DAH 1 Domestic Warm Air
CPA 1 Combustion Analyser
COCN1 Core commercial heating gas safety or
CODNCO1 Changeover Core
CDGA1 Commercial direct fired heating equipment
CIGA1 Commercial indirect fired heating equipment
CORT1 Commercial radiant tube & plaque heaters
ICPN1 Installation 1st fix of commercial pipework
TPCP1 Testing & purging of pipework (IGE/UP/1)
BMP1 Boosters Associated Controls & pipework
HWB 1 Domestic swimming pool boilers
CCCN1 Core commercial catering N.G. safety or CODC1 – Changeover Core COCAT1 Changeover domestic appliances to commercial catering appliances or COMCAT1 & COMCAT3
COMCAT 5 – Forced Draught Burners
CONGLP1 – Core domestic NG to LPG fuel change over
UHW – Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems.
(If Heating Engineers do not have the full list above, they are still able to be considered, but Combustion Engineers must have their domestic & commercial tickets as a minimum!)
Salary & Package
The salary is flexible between £40-45K plus call out payments and overtime.
