My client is seeking to locate a driven and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their various teams working on Major Retail Projects.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Assist with client accounts including applications for payment, invoices, variations and final accounts
* Administer sub-contract accounts including assessing liabilities, making payments, issuing notices and agreeing final accounts
* Keep comprehensive records to identify progress, delays and support variations
* Support the production of Monthly Project Reviews and Work Package Reviews
* Advise members of the project team on any commercial issue
* Establish good relationships with the client, project team and with suppliers, attending meetings where required
Essential requirements:
* Min 2 years relevant experience
* Good interpersonal & communication skills
* Capable of working under pressure and to deadlines
* Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office packages
* Educated to graduate entry degree level requirements or equivalent
* Experience working in contracting commercial department
* Knowledge of construction industry standard forms of contract and commercial terms
Salary: £28,000-£35,000
