UL’s expertise in payment and mobile technologies makes UL the go to party for innovation and trends in payments.We are hiring a Technical Analyst – Mobile Pay to help our industry partners to bring their innovative mobile payments solutions to market. In our test labs, our teams analyze, validate, and certify digital products from local and global clients. You will work with the latest mobile devices and state-of-the-art payment infrastructure to verify the newest technologies in the field of mobile payments. Regularly it’s expected to travel to the different test labs and clients in North America/Latin America/Europe & Middle East/Asia Pacific, working closely with customers to ensure a smooth certification process and a final product of the highest quality.As a Technical Analyst, you will focus on the definition of compliance projects together with and for our clients and will perform software testing related activities. This includes using test tools, analyzing findings, validating test results against technical specifications, aligning with payment schemes like MasterCard and Visa, and reporting to the client. You will participate in the development of test procedure documents, test specifications and test tools as well. You will be involved in innovative projects which result in more efficient work processes and new services added to our portfolio.The Technical Analyst has the following tasks and responsibilities:Technology – interpret, understand, and keep up to date with the functionalities and technical specifications of the products being verified;Technical project management – determine project scope, communicate progress and results to clients, manage expectations of stakeholders, deliver on time and report accurately;Test activities – use and configure test tools in the appropriate way, understand and follow test methodologies, clearly report communicate observations, verdicts and next actions;Analysis and problem solving – analyze findings and validate test results, pinpoint issues and communicate issues with client’s developers and product owners;Innovations – have an open and creative mind, be able to recognize new business opportunities, improve internal processes;Communication – align with clients, project stakeholders and internal teams.Quality and integrity – ensure high quality and proper management of client products, deliverables, input documents and test results.QualificationsYou are passionate about the latest developments in the mobile industry, e.g. newest phone models, newest features, mobile wallet initiatives.You have a B.Sc. degree (or higher) which proves your analytical skills and technical expertise; such as Computer Science, Engineer, Physics or Mathematics.You have an innate sense of responsibility, you are accurate and attentive to detail, and you are able to follow given procedures.You can work independently to a deadline and you are capable to run your work efficiently.You have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to perform professionally in a client facing role and ensure the client’s needs are met.You are willing to travel up to 50% of your time.You are flexible to change of circumstances (e.g. short confirmation timelines, location of work).Nice to have: fluency in German, Italian, Spanish or Russian.Nice to have: one to two years relevant working experience in software testing and compliance processes, technical analysis and reporting,Nice to have: experience with mobile payments technologies and knowledge about payments standards such as EMV, ISO8583, MasterCard and Visa requirements.European Union citizenship is required for this position.We OfferA competitive salary and a bonus arrangementAn international, innovative and dynamic work environmentA lot of opportunities to travelLabs with latest released mobile devices and state-of-the-art payment infrastructure.Personal development, including a large range of training which enables you to develop your technical and soft skillsCareer opportunities via content specialization, job rotation or hierarchical growth
