 Wood is currently looking to recruit a Senior Instrument and Control Engineer to be deployed within a client Project Management Team in PMC capacity.  The successful candidate  will initially be based in Madrid.  Duration of the assignment in the EPC Home Office is expected to be around 12 months, following which the candidate will relocate to client office or project onshore site in UAE  for the rest of the position assignment (3-4 years).Provide technical expertise on all engineering subject matter pertaining to I&C engineering and designEnsure I&C design and engineering compliance with relevant codes, standards and Company standardsCoordinate, Monitor and handle I&C design and engineering with EPC contractor as per project expectation and complete the same within the time frameWork with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC contractor, and Project Engineering / Operation / Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality I&C engineering execution and integrity etcPerform regular and timely technical reviews of I&C engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants / contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practicesEnsure integration of overall I&C engineering coordination within IPMT I&C Engineering TeamReview and approval of Engineering Consultant”s and EPC Contractor”s work and ensure compliance with the project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practicesCoordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validationParticipate in teams for equipment sizing / equipment selection considering optimization and standardizationEnsure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspectsEnsure full utilization of the existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for the new projectsParticipate in layout reviews, Model review, design reviews, and technical workshopsProvide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineersCoordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluationProvide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning Bachelor Degree in Instrument or Control Engineering13 – 15 years of experience mainly being in oil and gas industryMust have held a similar role for at least 5 years Experience on upstream / onshore projects is preferable during to the nature of this projectGCC project experience is preferableHolding a valid permit to work in Spain is necessaryImmediate availabilityWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
