Our client, a leading international manufacturer of industrial goods seeks Operations Director (Manufacturing) to manage their production facility in Barcelona.
Reporting to the CEO the Operations Director will be part of the Senior Management Team and will oversee site operations, deliver budgets and performance improvements.
Functions
Lead the site operations teams to deliver results in terms of Production, Logistics, Quality, Purchasing and budget & KPI’s.
Prepare, implement and monitor annual budget to determine costs and effectiveness of budget
Develop and promote an open culture of continuous improvement across site with clear objectives outlined and delivered.
Identify where automation could improve operating performance.
Closely monitor and balance production levels to meet sales forecasts.
Analise and propose potential product features and improvements, working closely with the Product team.
Collaborate and contribute to strategic objectives for the business.
You will develop, manage and motivate the team to deliver the highest quality of operations with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Requirements
Degree qualified in engineering.
MBA and additional qualifications in Operations Management.
Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean/Kaizen qualified would be a plus.
Fluent English and Spanish.
Experience as a Plant Director / Operations Director from heavy / light industry such as Automotive, Packaging, Machinery, mechanical appliances, Medical Devices etc
Strong leadership, strategic, analytical, organizational and negotiating skills.
Flexible and open management communication style
Ability to work under pressure and at all levels and with international reporting
Well-honed change management skills
Ambitious and ready to take on more responsibility.
