As a MarComms manager intern the role can very clearly be divided between marketing and communications;
The MarComms Manager role is crucial in empowering Microsoft stakeholders through marketing, communications and events. This role is key to telling the Microsoft story and representing the business both internally and externally. You will be working on a number of long and short-term campaigns, including key events and recruitment drives. The MarComm Manager must be in tune with our customer’s needs and execute campaigns with these needs in mind. The successful candidate must be able to take a 360-degree view of marketing. The MarComm manager must be able to successfully collaborate with other teams within the business, to execute successful campaigns internally and externally. An important part of the role is understanding all stages of a campaign; pre, during and post.
The marketing side of things involves inspiring our customers to reach their potential through Microsoft Products, this will include event management for our many summits that go on throughout the year from start-ups to AI, you will work with many different groups and suppliers to make sure this day is a success. You will also get to help work on social media campaigns with the aims of promoting our branding and promoting our products.
The communications side of things mainly involves branding and brand management, you will get to work on recruitment campaigns working with HR, creative companies and the branch within the company we are recruiting for, this is exciting project management getting to work with all aspects of the business and liaise between all stakeholders in the project, you will have to use analytics skills to read and prepare the recruitment data to keep stakeholders informed also. You will also work organising training days and events within the building for your fellow employees.
+ Penultimate year of University doing a Bachelors or Masters subject
+ Well developed communication, presentation as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Passion for working for Microsoft
