+ Monitor political and regulatory developments in the Greek political sphere and provide updates and heads ups to the GM, the Greek Business Leadership Team and to Corporate, External and Legal Affairs on a regular basis;

+ Create and nurture a political stakeholder map for Greece in close collaboration with Government Affairs Lead, General Manager, Commercial Lead and Public Sector Lead;

+ Coordinate and track the political engagements of local, internal business stakeholders and ensure tight alignment with Corporate, External and Legal Affairs objectives on policy initiatives and programs;

+ Support the Government Affairs Lead to drive selected EU policy campaigns in Greece;

+ Collaborate with Government Affairs Lead to manage issue escalations from Greece to Corporate, External and Legal Affairs at different levels;

+ Help to develop local policy campaigns and create outreach opportunities, incl. the positioning of the Greek General Manager in the political arena;

+ Drive the political agenda for Microsoft Hellas and support the building and execution of the subsidiary’s National Empowerment Plan (NEP) while being in close sync with the Government Affairs lead, the General Manager and the Greek subsidiary’s leadership team;

+ Help to design and to execute political events aiming at positioning Microsoft as trusted advisor and thoughtful leader in the Greek political and public sphere.


This role will require someone who has:

+ A bachelor or master’s degree in political science / political communications or a law degree;

+ Work experience in the Greek or European political sphere, working for members of parliament, within government bodies or as a private sector representative;

+ Expertise in interpreting public policy and regulatory matters and an ability to frame responses and outreach strategies;

+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;

+ The ability to drive local programs and initiatives around corporate interests and public policy;

+ The aptitude to work easily and efficiently both with the Greek subsidiary team and with Corporate, External and Legal Affairs colleagues in Central Eastern Europe;

+ A passion to help others achieve their goals;

+ Understanding of and exposure to IT will be considered as a plus;

+ Excellent language skills in Greek and English are required.

This position is a contingent staff position and employed by an external agency in service for Microsoft.
