Support Workers

Home First Support Worker Vacancies Staffordshire wide Band 3 (£16,968 - £19,852) pro-rata Part-time, Permanent positions. As a valuable member of the NHS workforce you will be employed under NHS terms and conditions, offering a variety of benefits including an NHS pension scheme, paid mileage, a full induction programme and good career development opportunities. NHS community services delivered by SSOTP are recruiting caring people with experience of providing personal and enabling care to a range of part time vacancies.

Your role as a Home First Care and Support Worker will include: • Enabling people to remain safe and well in their own home. • Assisting people to live as independently as possible within their own home. • To support people when in crisis, and to avoid crisis. • Supporting people to die at home safely where that is their choice.

The post holder will be required to: • Have the essential qualifications, NVQ/QCF level 2 or equivalent in a health and social care related subject. • Undertake training and development to achieve NVQ Level 3. • Be an excellent communicator, including written skills and the ability to assess and feedback to other professionals. • To work on a flexible rota including evenings and weekends in line with the service demands. • Attend staff meetings and training relevant to their post.

Experience in care is required with a caring and compassionate attitude being an absolute necessity.
