We are currently looking for a Telephone Based Recruiter to work within our internal recruitment team here at Capita Customer Management, part of Capita Plc based in Dearne Valley near Rotherham. The role of the Telephone Based Recruiter will be to handle inbound and outbound calls with prospective candidates who have applied for an advisor or team leader role within a customer experience, sales or collections function at Capita Customer Management. This will involve dealing with general enquiries and discussing specific applications for employment by taking individuals through a telephone screening to assess their suitability for current opportunities across a broad range of clients via a competency based interview.

What you will do:

  • Complete the candidate assessment via a scoring Matrix and provide constructive feedback to all applicants whether they have passed or failed at this stage
  • Book successful candidates into an assessment centre providing a briefing on what to expect from the next stage of the screening and selection process and will then place outbound calls to keep candidates engaged and confirm their attendance and start dates
  • Understand the requirements of the different operational areas of Capita Customer Management and their end-user clients to enable information to be given appropriately to potential candidates
  • Handling employment applications through the Applicant Tracking System for the direct recruitment across the following regions:- North West (Preston, Preston Brook, Warrington, Salford, Liverpool, Bury), Scotland (Glasgow, Forres, Cathcart), West Yorkshire, Leeds, Peterlee, South Yorkshire, Dearne Valley
  • Respond to general enquiries from the public regarding employment opportunities at Capita
  • Conduct Telephone Screening of potential candidates for Customer Service, Sales and Collections positions via Competency Based Telephone Interviews and provide constructive feedback to all
  • Manage candidate applications through each stage of the application process, ensuring the Applicant Tracking System is fully updated throughout and that all data related to each application is captured accurately
  • Advise successful candidates regarding our compliance policy and procedure and book them into a face to face assessment slot as the 3rd and final screening and selection stage for the corresponding region
  • Outbound calls placed to new starters to confirm their start date/time and training times
  • Outbound calls placed to candidates booked onto assessment to confirm attendance/date/time
  • To contact prospective candidates from recommendations given within the business via the 'refer a friend' scheme
  • Liaise with Team Leaders and Resourcing Managers to provide updates on activity and key performance indicators to ensure all key deliverables and milestones are met in a timely fashion

Your experience will include:
